ABOUT CHANNEL SET ENGAGEMENT RINGS
Channel set engagement ring settings are classic and a very popular ring style. Channel settings are defined by the unique way the stones are set flush with one another and set down in a channel groove in the band. The stones in a channel engagement ring setting are specially cut with grooves along their girdle so that the stones can slide on these grooves to sit flush with each other in the channel of the band without the use of prongs.
Unlike a pavé style engagement ring setting, metal will be visible on either side of the channel of diamonds, giving them a defined border. This type of engagement ring is great for those that work with their hands a lot as the prong-free setting style of a channel set ring makes it harder for clothing or other materials to snag or become caught on the engagement ring.
