Other Ways to Wear Your Diamonds

by Craig
You have an entire collection of diamond jewelry that you proudly wear to special events, social occasions, or even on a daily basis. From basic diamond studs to your engagement ring to a full diamond necklace (and even a tiara), you literally have enough diamond jewelry to wear to absolutely any venue or event. But if you’re like most women, you want more diamonds. The only problem is, where can you sneak them into your accessories when you’re already overloaded with tennis bracelets, pendants, and drop earrings? Luckily, you’re not the only one to wonder, and there are several ways to drip diamonds without adding yet another ring to your collection.

1. On your phone. That’s right, you can add bling to your ringtone. The latest offering is a Stuart Hughes creation that wraps a row of sparkling diamonds around the slim edge of the new iPhone 4…and it will only cost you twenty large.

2. On your nails. If you have a good jeweler, you can take advantage of a very strange and little-known trend: that of the personalized fingernail. A jeweler can craft you a fake nail (generally worn on the ring finger) out of gold or white gold that you basically wear like a press-on (with some sort of adhesive that bonds to your real nail). You can have it engraved, add a diamond, or even go diamond-crusted for some real sparkle. It may just be the height of diamond-mania.

3. In your hair. Sure you have a tiara that you whip out for rare occasions, but if you want to go a bit more understated, consider some hairpins or clips with either a single diamond or a row that will nestle in your bird’s nest and peek out for just a hint of shine.

4. Get a nice compact. Women have a lot of accessories, but one that can usually be upgraded is the compact you keep in your purse. Find an antique one made of metal and spruce it up with new plating and a pattern in diamonds. Then peek over the edge to see how many people admire it as you check your lipstick.

5. On your shoes. More and more women are following trendsetters like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry by suiting up with bejeweled footwear. Whether you opt for a flashy stiletto heel or go all out with diamond-crusted kicks, you’re sure to turn plenty of heads with diamond-studded pumps.
