What Are New Bridal Trends for 2014?

Spring has sprung, which means wedding season is official open! Certain bridal trends are already emerging as the most popular for 2014.

Seasonal

Wedding planners are paying a lot of attention to which season and time of year of the wedding. For spring weddings, brides are choosing light colors, outdoor settings and citrus flavored cakes. For fall and winter weddings, brides are wearing fur capes and boots and serving deep flavor like chocolate with indoor décor which is rustic and candlelit.

Themes

Vintage continues to be an inspiration in many forms. Tea length dresses and sweet romantic details recalls mid-century celebrations while full-on gilded glamour references the Gatsby era. Weddings can also have a specific book, genre, or movie theme with everything from the music to the table decorations adhering to that idea.

What’s the latest new jewelry trend? Pyramid Stud Jewelry, of course! The pyramid, a symbol of ancient Egypt, has been experiencing a very modern revival. We have been loving this bold little shape that has shown up on shoes, bags, and of course jewelry.

What Is The Best Way Wear Layered Necklaces?

One trend which is perfect for gifting this holiday season is layering and stacking delicate necklaces and bracelets.

Both Anne Hathaway and Kourtney Kardashian among many other celebrities have embraced these latest trends to gorgeous effect! Whether the look is casual or glam, we can all agree we want to start layering asap!

A great way to start a layered look is with a versatile diamond solitaire necklace. A solitaire pendant worn alone is elegant, classic look, but when paired with multiple other necklaces

A trend we’ve be seeing recently is symbols like diamond accented crosses or initials set asymmetrically in mixed metals like white and rose gold. This gives off a charming, effortless effect while being perfect for layering. One pendant can sit off to one side while the other necklaces are centered.

Adiamor’s new bracelets and necklaces are an ideal way to try the layered look. Featuring symbols like crosses and pyramids, the new styles come in white, yellow and rose gold.

All of the necklaces featured at left are under $500.00 at Adiamor.

How Well Does Your Partner Know You?

When it comes time for that special person in your life to get you the ring of your dreams, the one that bears the promise of a lifetime to come, you want to be sure that your partner knows exactly what you want. As callous as it may sound, you’re the one who has to wear it for the rest of your life, so it had better be something that suits your taste and sensibilities. For example, not every girl wants a Kardashian-sized engagement ring. But you definitely want a diamond that you don’t need a microscope to see. In short, you might be asking yourself just how well your partner knows you when it comes time to start looking at engagement rings.

The funny thing about significant others is that most of them are not mind readers. This means if you want something specific, you’re going to have to ask for it. There are a number of ways to go about doing so. You may want to drop subtle hints by leaving photos lying around or your computer desktop open to a pic of a ring you love. You could also enlist the aid of family members that your partner is likely to ask for advice (tell them exactly what you want). Or you could simply let your soul-mate know, in no uncertain terms, that when it comes time to pop the question, there is a specific ring you have in mind (and leave it at that…no pressure!).

On the other hand, you’re going to have to trust this person at some point, and maybe leaving the engagement (and the ring) to chance is just the way to see how your partner performs (as in, how well your loved one actually knows you). You might be pleasantly surprised to see that the ring awaiting you is just what you would have picked for yourself. And if you’re not fussy, you might find that even a ring that you wouldn’t necessarily choose is even better because your future spouse picked it with you in mind. If, however, you are just a bit picky when it comes to your personal style, your best bet is to simply come out with it so that you don’t end up disappointed (and disappointing your fiancé).
